Dear Campbelltown

Cross

Dear Campbelltown,

I know I've professed my love for you in the past, but today, being my last day walking alongside with you, I can't help but reflect upon how far I've come, how much I've learned, and how much I've grown.

We've known each other for 4 years. They say 4 years is a long time, people finish a university degree in 4 years, tiny humans learn to speak and run in 4 years, mothers could have at least 5 new children in 4 years, a total of 16 seasons, 48 months, 208 weeks, 1450+ days, 35000+ hours. Yes, a long time.

People tend to misunderstand you sometimes, you seem to pop up in the list of "The worst xxxxx in Sydney" everywhere, your pal Campbelltown Hospital constantly made headlines at least a few times a year, and don't get me started on the empire of fastfood outlets and steak houses there. People just couldn't see your potential.

Sure, we have our differences. But I know for sure that, without knowing you, I would probably become a person that I don't want myself to be. You've opened my eyes to the world, taught me real diversity, tolerance and the sense of community.

As much as I've joked about you to others throughout the years, I know that you know that it's just my way of saying how much I appreciate what you have done for me. It's been good fun knowing you, and I would never ever exchange the experiences I've accumulated in this 4 years for anything.

Well, farewell my dear friend. And we will definitely catch up again, some time in the future.

Love always,
Shihui
PS: You better know how to pronounce my name properly next time I see you! xD
