Happy Chinese New Year

Coffee & CNY

I spent my Chinese New Year morning waking up late,
caught up with a friend (who celebrates Tet as well, Vietnamese New Year) for brunch and coffee.

Hmm...
western coffee and CNY, what a weird combination.

Life goes on here during the Chinese New Year period,
friends need to prepare for exams, others have 9 to 5 lectures, most work.

Funny,
or maybe it's just me,
as you grow older, you appreciate traditions more.
Perhaps it's just my way of holding on, refusing to grow up, to deny the presence and power of time.

Or I'm just lucky.

At least I still have the luxury, energy and time to clean the house (beforehand of course), wear new clothes, and play chinese new year songs in my head. 

I know, 

I'm thankful for that too.
